We have recently started a new campaign at Awards International called “We connect people”. The idea is to collect and share the stories that have been created at our events. We find that these are a great way to meet acquaintances, colleagues or even friends.

We have recently started a new campaign at Awards International called “We connect people”. The idea is to collect and share the stories that have been created at our events. We find that these are a great way to meet acquaintances, colleagues or even friends.

Nick is a Customer Experience Expert, specializing in customer research, VoC, Mystery Shopping and Journey Mapping solutions. For over 15 years Nick has helped organisations improve their performance by understanding, measuring and acting on insights to close the gap between Employee and Customer experiences.

Nick’s been our judge a few times and he also participated in one of the CX Masterclasses. The first event he attended was the UK Employee Experience Awards.

‘’I was invited to attend as a judge reviewing the business services category. The venue is easy to get to in central London and the meeting room set up together with the banquet hall are perfect for the intimate presentations and then the main celebration.

The process of judging the written submissions prior to the event meant I had high expectations of the day. The finalists did not disappoint. Their innovations in how they engage with their employees to deliver exceptional business solutions were impressive.

Having the finalists present and then the awards meant there was not long to wait for winners. This is a great way to celebrate the achievements and success of the finalists.’’

Nick is one of our experienced judges, he judged our UK awards and really knows what networking represents for all judges and finalists.

‘’As a judge there are opportunities to network with the fellow judges once the written submissions have been judged. The idea is not to influence the results. On the day, there is plenty of opportunities to speak with your fellow category judges and also meet others during the intervals. In advance, the judges are announced which means you can make contact and arrange to meet during these times.

There is a now the Judge Club which is designed to enable the judges to connect and network. This includes breakfast events and other networking opportunities.’’

Nick now has his own company – Paradigm CX and being able to catch up with like-minded professionals and colleagues is of great value.

‘’I have met several great contacts having been a judge, this has been an opportunity to catch up with some old friends as well. Having the opportunity to speak with like-minded professionals and those pioneering in our industry is not always easy, but to have everyone attend a celebration of success makes this a good place to connect.

For me connecting with others have meant I have been able to discuss my own business, previously I have been stood behind some mighty brand names, but now the time is right to get Paradigm CX out there in its own right!

I am now in regular contact with a couple of people and developing some new ideas.’’

We also wanted to hear what are his next plans and what interesting project he is working on.

‘’I have just completed a large CX transformation project for Yum! Brands Pizza Hut business in the UK.

I am now embarking on sharing some of the expertise I have gained over the past 15+ years and developing a virtual CXO solution to provide SME’s with expert guidance and hands-on support.’’

We know we’ll hear more from Nick and can’t wait to find out what are his next projects!
